1st Inaugural Monsters’ Ball on Equinox Grid. Thank you to all who participated. Looking forward to the 2nd Monsters’ Ball on the last Sunday of February 2022. Why did I choose to name the grid “Equinox”? Why did I not choose “Xaria’s Grid” or “Aubrey’s Grid” or another one of a billion other choices? At first glance, I simply stole the name from the club, Club Equinox. The club was began before my time, I was not around for its naming or inception. I do not know why the name was chosen for the club, other than it is a cool name. However, after research and consideration, Equinox was a perfect fit for this grid. Here is why: What is “equinox”? Around October 2019, Becca Kershaw, the Owner of Club Equinox, and I decided it was time to move the Club away from then Zindraya Grid. We had been considering other grids. I, Xaria Aubrey, had always wanted to have my own grid. So, I researched the feasibility of putting together a grid. A Contabo server was reasonably priced. I began. A pretty steep learning curve, learning Ubuntu Linux, Opensim on an actual linux server, Apache, mysql, and all the other requirements. My first standalone, I had connection issues.
